Jenni has often spoken about Diigo and I have finally gotten around to having a look.  I have gained so much confidence on the internet by doing this unit.  I love hearing about all the different webistes and technologies that are out there.  I do worry that after I have finished the unit I wont find out about other technologies.  Maybe Jenni can just email me new sites to look at and I can keep up-to-date with what is being produced?
Turns out that I can sign in to Diigo, but I dont know what to do from there and I cant find the EDN113 group that has been set up.  I was looking forward to connecting with other students on Diigo. Ill have to have a look around the site, even if I set it up for myself and then when I go to uni next, Ill ask where to go.
I thought I would share what Diigo is and what the letters stand for.  Diigo stands for 'Digest of Internet Information, Groups and Other stuff' p 20 Jonassen, David, Howland, Jane, Marra, Rose M., & Crismond, David. (2008). Meaningful learning with technology (3 ed.). New Jersey: Pearson Education.
Diigo is a social book marking service which allows users to bookmark websites and store them online. It is like having a favourites button on your pc, but it is on the internet and accessable from any computer that is connected to the internet, whereas a favourites button in restricted to the computer it is stored on.
