I have just submitted my assignment 2 and realised that I havent blogged about any technologies that I used to complete the task.
To find the books for the assignment I used the library Findit search engine. I havent had to do alot of researching in the Library yet, so using this was a new experience for me. I did need to get some help from the help desk when I first started.
The Libarian also showed me where the subject guides are. I think this will come in really hand over the next 4 years.
I tried to use Google Scholar, but I didnt have alot of success with this, however I did get some websites from Google Australia.
I got the movie/podcast from YouTube, Im really happy with what I go. I would have liked to have remembered about TeacherTube before though.

Week 9 & 10 are online units for EDN113. I quite like this as it gives me a change to see what it would be like studying as an external student. Personally I dont think I could do it. I need the interaction with my peers and tutors. Some questions are easier to ask to a person that to try and write them on a computer and wait for an answer. I have been able to (finally) get all my stuff onto Yola for assignment 2. I keep thinking that I can submit it, but then I remember something else that I need to do. This assignment is never-ending.
I have put all the screen captures onto my webpage and attached the word document on my researcher tab. I think Im more nervous about submitting this assignment than any other I have this semester.

I have been having so much trouble with Yola this past week or so. It has been freezing and not loading. I have been so frusturated with this. I was hoping to get Assignment 2 finished last week, but because Yola has been playing up, I have been getting frusturated and started to avoid doing the work because I didnt want the hassle of the site not working properly.

We had our second group meeting on Thursday 19 April 2012. We all seem to be working well together for the most part. I have noticed there are domintant or non-dominant personalities in the group. This is to be expected when working in a group of 5, Im just aware of it now. I got quite upset at our first meeting as I felt like I wasnt being listened to in regards to what the assignment is about. However the group realised that I was right and apologised.

Enneth Boulding (p.100) said in 2006 that "We make our tools, and then they shape us" The example he gives is mobile phones. When I think back to my first mobile, it was very basic - phone calls, text messaging and simple games. There was no colour on the screen but there was a limit to how many characters could be sent in a single text message.

I have been working on assignment 2 and have been having a lot of trouble finding a peer reviewed conference paper. I have posted a comment on the LMS and Im hoping other students may have another source I can look at rather that the Library.

I have been reading through the LMS and there is a student that has similar problems to me - she makes changes to her webpage, but they dont save. I didnt have any answers for her, however I still wanted to comment, as she is not the only one having these problems and it might make her feel better to know that there is someone else is struggling with things too.

We had our first group meeting for Assignemt 3 on Thursday. All the members of the group seem to be on the wavelength and are aiming for the same grade (High Distinction). Jenni suggested that we look at the K- 10 Syllabus on the Department of Educations website. I could have spent hours reading through all that information. I have planned alot of different things that I could do with students just from reading the syllabus.
