Please find below some web-pages that I have found useful. Government The Education Department of Western Australia website has a lot of useful information for teachers and parents of primary school children. Some of the information I found useful was the Term dates, News on education and a Parent information section - including "helping your child learn".

Language
Websites to help children learn language (including spelling and grammar) are vital.
Some useful websites I have come across are;
Reading Eggs - a fantastic website that is aimed at children from 3 years old all the was to 13 years old. I have included a screen caption below to show the various stages/ages of the program.

Blake, eLearning. (2012). ABC Reading Eggs Retieved 25/05/2012, from http://readingeggs.com.au/home

Asha, Dinesh. (1998-2012). EZschool, from http://www.ezschool.com/Games/PartsOfSpeech.html
Maths
In my Maths unit we mainly used HOTmaths. This website has been invaluable to me. I have loved using it as I am able to read about the topics, do quizzes and then challenges on the information. I think this website would be useful for teachers all the way through Primary school.
Another useful tool that we used was The National Library of Virtual Manipulative's. This website is really helpful when trying to work through areas of Mathematics. For example, users are able to perform data analysis using the program. As shown below , the data collected is represented using a Box Plot.

University, Utah State. (199-2010). The National Library of Virtual Manipulative's from http://nlvm.usu.edu/en/nav/frames_asid_200_g_3_t_5.html?open=instructions&from=topic_t_5.html
Science
KidsAstronomy is an interactive website where children can learn about the solar system. The website is very interactive, with children being able to watch videos, play games and read about the various different aspects of space.
Science Buddies is a resource for teachers who are teaching about Science. There are lesson plans, links and project ideas.
