Kidspot
Kidspot is a very useful website for teacher, parents and children in general.  It has a lot of useful information within it, including craft, recipes, pregnancy and lunchbox nutrition tips

Crunch and Sip
Crunch and Sip is an initiative set up by the Government of Western Australia - Department of Health which works with schools (and sometimes individual classrooms) to promote healthy eating.  Children are allocated a set time where they are to 'refuel'.  Children eat a piece of fruit or vegetable inside at their desks and have a drink of water.  The break is usually only 5-10 minutes so it doenst interfer with the teachers allocated time.

The Nutrition Song
A very upbeat song, explaining the benefits of a balanced diet.  I found this video on YouTube, however the musicians have a website NuBeat Music which has a variety of songs, including a childrens section.  This would be very helpful for teachers trying to get lessons taught by using in a variety of methods.  Children love to sing and by learning the words to a song, they would absorb the knowledge.

EndNote X4
EndNote is an invaulable tool for University students or anyone needing to do referencing.  Users are able to select the referencing type (APA, Chicago) according to personal requirements.  Murdoch University students are able to obtain a copy by contacting IT department and filling in a Authorisation form.  A link is sent to the nominated email address for download - there is a 7 day expiry period for download.  The version I am using is X4.  Users will have to inform IT what operating system they have on their computer.

 Search strategies
There were quite a few search strateies I used for this assignment.  Some of them didnt work in my favour, but others did.
When looking for my books I did a search at the University Library.  As you can see from the screen capture below I typed in 'nutrition' in the search box, selected 'book' (on the left hand side, under 'content type') and got 89 243 results.  I selected the books I felt were relevant and checked them out of the Library.

I applied the same strategies when looking for a Journal article and a Refereed conference paper.  The only aspects i had to change were the 'Content Type'.  I had to select 'Journal Article' for my Journal Article (which shows above as 1 537 979 results).
As you can see below, when I searched for my Refereed conference paper I had to select 'Limit to articles from scholarly publications, including peer-review' and 'Conference Proceeding'.  This search only resulted in 98 articles. I had a lot of difficulty in finding a suitable paper to use for my assignment.  In the end, I am really please with the paper I found as it incorporates both technology and nutrition.

While I was looking for my Refereed conference paper I did a search on Google Scholar.  I didnt find anything on there that I could use, but it was a website that I havent had much to do with, so it was good to get on there and use it some more.
When searching for my webpages for Assignment 2, I used the search engine Google Australia. I used the Australian version of Google, so I could use websites relating to my own country.

Using YouTube for my assignment was great, I really like using this website.  With such a huge amount of people able to add videos on to the website, users are exposed to a huge variety of information.  Without a resource such as this, I would never have found Nubeat Music,  I think this can be said about of lot information on YouTube.
I didnt think about it until after I had found something on YouTube, but TeacherTube is another resource that I could have used to try to find a nutrition movie or podcast.  I have included a screen capture below of some search reults for childrens nutrition that can be found on TeacherTube.

I have attached my word document below.  Please note that I have referenced the titles differently to show different ways of referencing.
